Hi Sp, yes unfortunately there's no way around it. You will have to pay fees in Ethereum for conversion to Matic Network. That's why I transfer a lot of USDC at once so I can trade with it on Quickswap for a while. When you convert back from Matic network to Ethereum though, then you don't pay the fees in the Ethereum network but in the Matic one, so the fees here are negligible. And yes once you are back on the Ethereum network then you can't bypass sending fees to another user etc.
